Just a quick posting of my latest GlossyBox video, this is the April box – the Iconic Hollywood edition.
The next GB post will be the full written review – until then.

So, we have the final parts of Life is Strange – Chrysalis, from episode 15 to 17, and then the long extras video where we see all the alternative things we could have done. In the end I really enjoyed Life is Strange, especially by the end of the episode, when it’s stopped being a bit name drop heavy and pretentious – and it’s more about re-uniting with old friends and reminiscing, which Life is Strange pulls off really well. So it was pretty good in the end. We’re also working through episode two ‘Out of Time’ at the moment, so episodes of that will be oncoming.
Another week of Call of Cthulhu – this is episodes 29 to 35 – after this point, the updating of Call of Cthulhu may take a little while longer, as we’re releasing Life is Strange. We are still recording all of our Let’s Play’s, we just don’t want to rush out releasing them and spam people with them.
Time goes by, and we have another set of Life is Strange Chrysalis episodes from the YouTubes. The second episode of the game itself, ‘Out of Time’ is supposed to be out sometime this week, we’re very interested to see how it goes – will it be longer than episode one? What new choices are there? Will any of our choices from episode one really affect episode two that much? We’ll have to see.
Episodes after the cut.
Just a post of my video review/first impression/unboxing of the March 2015 UK GlossyBox! This is month 10 now that I’ve had it.
In a few weeks my more indepth impressions will be up. Also next in written posts will probably be my winter empties post if I can make myself stop procrastinating on that. Until next time.
So, we’re adding a new game to our Let’s Play roster – with Dontnod’s Life is Strange. We were both very interested in this game when we heard who the developer is – 2013’s Remember Me by the same dev was flawed but worth playing. It had a rich and vibrant world and story, as well as a strong female lead, mostly held back by repetitive gameplay that focused too much on combat. Life is Strange takes a different approach with the same good points – it’s an interesting world with a female lead, and no combat. We’ll see how it goes. For now, after the cut is the first set of episodes.
Back again for another week of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Here we have episodes 22 to 28 – we’re making good progress so far.
Another belated set of Final Fantasy Let’s Play Videos, and possibly the last set from Final Fantasy for a while as it’s on a little break while we get through Call of Cthulhu. Here’s episodes 36 to 42.
Another set of our Let’s Play Videos to keep up to date with. Is it weird to watch and enjoy your own Let’s Play? I’m really enjoying this one so far. Here’s 15 to 21.
Another set of our still running Final Fantasy Let’s Play, episodes 29 to 35. Look for then after the cut.
